About Fortnite

Fortnite is much more than one game: it is a whole collection of experiences built around its famous battle royale. At its core is Battle Royale itself — a fast-paced, third-person player-versus-player shooter where you choose an Outfit, explore the Island in style, fight to be the last one standing and avoid damage as the Storm closes in. Weapons, vehicles and a shrinking play area keep every match tense until the end.

If building is not your thing, Zero Build offers the same battle royale without it. Play solo or team up as a duo, trio or four-person squad, use an Overshield for protection, use natural cover as you move through the map, and make the most of your loadout — mantling, hurdling and jumping to stay competitive. Blitz Royale, meanwhile, plays faster on a smaller map with fewer players, for when you want a quick match.

Beyond battle royale, there is a lot to explore. Fortnite OG revisits the game's earlier days, LEGO Fortnite lets you explore blocky worlds, Fortnite Festival lets you perform music, and thousands of developer-made multiplayer games — from tycoons and deathruns to zombie survival — offer something different every time you log in. Between games, the Shop lets you pick up Outfits, Back Bling and Emotes to show off your style.

Fortnite is free to play, with optional purchases, and seasonal Battle Passes offer rewards such as Outfits, Pickaxes and Gliders as you complete quests and earn experience. It suits players who enjoy battle royale, competitive play with friends, creative games and social experiences — all in one app, right in your pocket.
