This page explains what information Trendy Apps (trendyapps.co.uk) does and does not collect when you visit the site, and how that information is used. We have kept it plain on purpose. If anything here is unclear, you can email us at [email protected].

We do not have accounts

Trendy Apps has no sign-up, no login and no membership. We never ask you for your name, address, phone number, payment details or any other personal information in order to browse the site, view listings or use the download buttons. The only personal information we ever receive from you is what you choose to include in an email if you write to us — your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use that only to reply to you and to deal with your request, and we do not sell it or pass it to marketers.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, the page visited and the time. These logs are kept for a limited period and used to keep the site secure, spot faults and abuse, and see in rough terms which pages are popular. They are not used to identify individual visitors.

If we use a web analytics service, it counts visits and page views in aggregate so we can see which listings people find useful. Analytics data is statistical, not a record of who you are.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages. Trendy Apps itself uses few, if any, cookies beyond what is needed for the site to function and stay secure.

Third-party services are different. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. If advertising is shown on this site, some ads may therefore be personalised to your interests as understood by those partners.

Third-party links

Listings on Trendy Apps link out to Google Play and to publishers' websites. Once you leave this site, we do not control what those sites collect, and their own privacy policies apply. In particular, any app you download is governed by the privacy policy of its developer and by Google's policies, not by this one. We recommend skimming the data-safety section on an app's store page before installing it, especially for apps that ask for a lot of permissions.

Children's privacy

Trendy Apps is a general-audience catalogue and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because there are no accounts and no forms on the site, there is very little information any visitor can give us; if you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept for a shorter, rolling period and then overwritten or deleted. We do not build profiles of visitors.

Your choices

Because we hold so little information, there is usually nothing to correct or delete. Even so, if you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, or you have any other question about your information, write to [email protected] and we will deal with it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If how the site works changes — for example, if we start showing advertising or add a new analytics tool — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. The version published here is always the current one, and continuing to use the site means you accept the policy as published.
