About Gardenscapes
Gardenscapes begins with a garden that has seen better days, and a butler named Austin who is determined to bring it back to life. You help him by solving match-3 puzzles: swap pieces to make lines of three or more, clear the goals on each board, and earn stars. Those stars are the currency of restoration — spend them to repair a fountain, plant a flowerbed, rebuild a bench or open a new area of the grounds.
The puzzles follow the familiar match-3 pattern, but they grow more interesting as you progress. Power-ups and boosters clear large sections of the board, new elements and obstacles change how each level plays, and some boards ask for careful planning rather than fast swiping. With thousands of levels, there is always another board to try, and the difficulty rises gently enough that new players can settle in without feeling overwhelmed.
What keeps people playing, though, is the garden itself. Each chapter of the story introduces new characters — friends, neighbours and visitors — and new areas to restore, from fountain ensembles to island landscapes. Pets join you as companions, and the choices you make in decorating give the garden a personal feel. It is a slow, satisfying project: a little puzzle progress each day adds up to a visibly transformed place.
Gardenscapes is free to play, with optional purchases, and the core game does not require a Wi-Fi connection, though an internet connection is needed for competitions and extra features. It suits players who enjoy relaxing puzzles with a long-term creative goal, and anyone who likes the idea of turning a neglected garden into something beautiful, one level at a time.
