About Microsoft OneDrive
Start with 5 GB of free storage, or upgrade to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family for 1 TB per user, and access your files anywhere — even offline. OneDrive keeps your photos and files backed up, protected, and in sync everywhere, so the document you save on your phone is waiting on your computer, and the photos from your weekend are safe even if your phone is not.
Back up photos and videos by turning on Camera Upload for automatic photo and video backup, with a secure photo locker with automatic tagging, the ability to view and share photos across devices, and encrypted storage to keep photos and videos safe. For file sharing and access, OneDrive offers secure storage for all your photos, videos and albums, sharing of files, photos, videos and albums with friends and family, access to selected files offline, easy photo sharing and video uploads, notifications when a shared document is edited, and secure folder settings with password-protected or expiring sharing links.
Security is built in: files are encrypted at rest and in transit, Personal Vault adds identity-verified protection, version history restores previous file versions, and ransomware detection and recovery help protect your content. Collaboration with Microsoft apps lets you share files across platforms, use Microsoft Office apps to edit and collaborate in real time on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, and back up, view and save Office documents. Document scanning lets you scan, sign, mark up and send documents right from the OneDrive mobile app, keeping them safe in a secure folder, while search finds photos by what is in them — beach, snow and more — and documents by name or content.
AI assistance with Copilot can summarise documents and extract key details quickly, organise files and suggest the best way to structure your folders, and give intelligent recommendations for sharing and collaboration. A Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscription starts at $6.99 per month in the U.S., with pricing varying by region, offering 1 TB per person for up to 6 people on the Family plan, premium sharing links, ransomware detection, File Restore for up to 30 days, up to 10x more daily sharing, and premium versions of Office apps and OneDrive features. Subscriptions purchased in-app are billed to your Google Play account and renew automatically unless cancelled, and work or school sign-in requires a qualifying OneDrive, SharePoint Online, or Microsoft 365 Business account.
