About Temple Run
Temple Run is the game that made the endless runner famous, and its premise is still perfect: you have stolen a cursed idol from an ancient temple, and now the Demon Monkeys are chasing you. There is no finish line, only distance — how far can you run before a missed turn, a mistimed jump or a broken bridge ends the chase?
The controls are simple and physical. You swipe to turn at corners, swipe up to jump over gaps and obstacles, swipe down to slide under barriers, and tilt to collect coins along the path. The run gets faster the longer you survive, so early minutes feel relaxed and later minutes demand real reflexes. Temples, jungle paths, bridges and cliff edges flash past, and every corner could hide a drop or a dead end.
Coins collected on a run can be spent on power-ups and new heroes, giving you reasons to keep playing beyond beating your last distance. Power-ups offer brief bursts of help — a head start, a magnet for coins, a boost of speed — but they never remove the core challenge: one mistake and the monkeys catch you. Leaderboards let you compare distances with friends, which turns a solo run into a friendly rivalry.
Temple Run is free to play, with optional purchases, and it can be played offline, making it a great game for travel or a quick break. It suits anyone who enjoys fast arcade games, simple controls and the thrill of a high score that is always just one more run away. If you have never played the original, this is where the endless runner began.
