About Honor of Kings
Honor of Kings is a mobile MOBA in the classic mould, built for matches that fit into a short break. Two teams of five face each other on a map with three lanes, towers to defend and a base to destroy. You choose a hero, join a lane, and work with your team to push forward, defend when needed, and take the decisive team fight at the right moment.
Heroes fall into familiar roles, and a good team usually covers several of them. Tanks soak damage at the front, mages and marksmen deal damage from behind, assassins pick off vulnerable targets, supports protect and heal, and junglers move between lanes to help where pressure is greatest. Each hero has a set of abilities with cooldowns, so timing matters: a well-placed ultimate can win a fight, while the same ability used a second too late can be wasted.
The lane phase teaches the game's rhythm. Last-hitting minions earns gold, gold buys items that strengthen your hero, and small advantages — a tower taken, a dragon or buff secured, an enemy forced back to base — slowly turn into map control. Matches usually last around fifteen minutes, which keeps the pace brisk, but a close game can still swing late when one team fight decides the outcome. Ranked play adds a ladder for players who want to measure progress over time.
Honor of Kings is free to play, with optional purchases for heroes, skins and other items, and it needs an internet connection. It suits players who enjoy team strategy and are willing to learn roles, items and timing, rather than players who only want a quick solo shooter. Played with friends, with clear roles and simple communication, it is one of the most complete MOBA experiences on a phone.
