BitLife - Life Simulator is a text-based game that hands you an entire lifetime and lets you decide how it turns out. You begin as a newborn with a randomly generated character, then guide that person year by year through childhood, school, work, relationships and old age. Every decision, from studying hard to skipping class, from staying loyal to taking a risk, nudges the story in a new direction, so no two lives ever play out the same way.

As your character grows, the choices get bigger. You can pursue an education and climb toward a steady career, or chase fame, fortune or trouble instead. The game covers the full spread of adult life: jobs and salaries, houses and cars, dating, marriage and children, friendships and rivalries, health and happiness. Stats for happiness, health, smarts and looks quietly shape what is possible, and random events keep interrupting your plans in ways that feel surprisingly true to life.

Careers are one of the biggest draws. You might become a doctor, an actor, an athlete, a chief executive or an influencer, each path with its own requirements and rewards. Or you can go the other way entirely, dabbling in crime, getting arrested, escaping prison and living with the consequences. The game never judges; it simply shows you where your choices lead, life after life.

That freedom to experiment is the point. BitLife is at its best when you stop trying to play perfectly and start wondering what happens if you do the opposite of the sensible thing. Short sessions fit easily into a spare few minutes, yet the urge to see one more year, one more twist, makes it hard to put down.
