Bluesky

Bluesky is a social app that tries to make online conversation feel closer to real conversation. Instead of one endless feed chosen for you, it invites you to find people, follow topics you care about, and join discussions as they unfold. From breaking news to a cultural moment, a match, or a new piece of art, you can see what people are talking about right now and add your own voice without wading through unrelated noise.

Custom feeds are one of its most distinctive ideas. Community-built feeds cover subjects such as news, art, pets, science, fandom, and investing, so you can shape a timeline around curiosity rather than habit. A feed for a hobby can feel like a small club, while a news feed can keep you informed without forcing you to follow hundreds of accounts first. Switching between feeds is a simple way to change the mood of your scroll.

Control is just as important as discovery. Moderation tools and content filters let you hide what you do not want to see and decide how much of a topic reaches you. That helps keep conversations calmer and more relevant, especially when a subject is fast-moving or divisive. You can curate your experience over time, rather than accepting whatever an algorithm happens to surface.

Getting started is deliberately easy. Starter Packs let you follow curated lists of interesting people with a single tap, so a new account does not begin with an empty timeline. That shortcut helps you find your people quickly, whether they are writers, artists, scientists, fans, or friends of friends. For anyone who wants social media to feel social again, Bluesky offers a lighter, more intentional way to stay connected.
