Facebook

Facebook is the social network where keeping up with people, places and interests all happens in one place. It has grown far beyond its original idea of a friends list: today it is a feed of updates from people you know, groups built around shared interests, short videos, local buying and selling, and conversations that run from a quick message to a full video call. For billions of people, it is simply where everyday social life online takes place.

Start by exploring and expanding your interests. Shop Marketplace for hidden gems and take your hobbies to the next level, personalise your Feed to see more of what you like and less of what you do not, and dive into reels that reflect the things you are interested in. You can search Facebook on any topic for more interactive results, and ask Meta AI for information and get answers instantly. Your feed becomes a reflection of what you actually care about.

Then connect with people and communities. Join groups to learn tips from real people who have been there and done that, get inspired by creators or catch up with friends, and add new friends to your world while deciding how closely to keep up with them. Privately message relatable posts that only your best friend will get, or the reels trend everyone is talking about, and catch up with friends through video and voice calls.

Finally, share your world your way. Use generative AI to create custom stickers and images to delight your friends, post updates and photos for the people who matter, and shape how much of your life you share and with whom. Facebook suits anyone who wants one app for friends, interests, local deals and daily conversation, rather than a separate app for each.
